Governance
Ellesmere Community Care Centre Trust is a Charitable Company Registered by Guarantee, formed under the Companies Acts 1985-89 as a company with exclusively charitable objects. Its governing document is its Memorandum and Articles of Association, which states that the objectives for which the Trust was established were to take on the ownership of the former Ellesmere Cottage Hospital building on behalf of the community residing in Ellesmere, Shropshire, and surrounding areas and to maintain the fabric of the building in a satisfactory and proper condition, so that it is available to be used primarily, but not exclusively, for the provision of community health care services, including daycare for the elderly and support for individuals with learning disabilities.
Ellesmere Community Care Centre Trust is run by a board of Trustees, who must adhere to all the duties of company directors and all the duties of charity trustees under the Charities Acts.
The Trust produces an Annual Report and Accounts, including a trustees report, which is submitted annually to the Charity Commission. These documents can be found on the Charity Commission website.
